President Oxholm to Alumni: ‘Wonderful Teachers’ Are Still ‘Who We Are Today’

Arcadia Welcomes Kevin Brown to Alumni Relations

President Carl (Tobey) Oxholm III had alumni front and center during his Inauguration on April 28, acknowledging both the alumni who breathed life into Beaver College for decades, the students who keep that spirit alive today in Arcadia University, and the faculty who remain the core of each student's experience here. Story, photos and video.

Arcadia Welcomes Kevin Brown to Alumni Relations

Arcadia Welcomes Kevin Brown to Alumni RelationsThe Office of Alumni Relations is pleased to announce Kevin Brown as Director of Alumni Relations.

Brown, who joins the Arcadia community from Trinity College in Connecticut, brings his years of experience in Alumni Relations along with enthusiasm and excitement about developing new programs and opportunities to re-engage alumni.

"What impressed me about Kevin in the interview was the way he viewed alumni, as a multi-faceted resource" says President Carl (Tobey) Oxholm III. "He sees that they can be of enormous assistance to current students and to the university, to be sure; but he also recognizes the power and reach they can provide to each other. Kevin is an energetic builder, and I eagerly await the construction of the new Arcadia Alumni Global Network!"

"We are most fortunate that Georgene Pilling, who has fostered excellent relationships through her years as Director of Alumni Relations, will be staying on the Alumni Relations staff as Director of Alumni Programs," says Jan Walbert, Vice President for Advancement. "This shift allows us to maximize her experiences and she will team with Kevin to continue to strengthen and build our alumni programs, services and future priorities."

With many campus events occuring in his first week and plenty still ahead, including Reunion, Brown is looking forward to meeting with more alumni on campus in the near future. Video greeting from Kevin Brown.
