Arcadia Hosts Deogratias ‘Deo’ Niyizonkiza of ‘Strength in What Remains,’ Oct. 13Arcadia University hosts Deogratias ‘Deo’ Niyizonkiza, founder of Village Health Works and the main character in the critically acclaimed book Strength in What Remains, by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Tracy Kidder, on Thursday, Oct. 13, at 7:30 p.m. Alumni are invited to attend the free lecture, which will be held in Stiteler Auditorium, located in Murphy Hall.

Career Networking Event: Professional Networking 101

Are You a Volunteer Career Mentor? Most everyone has heard the statement: "It's not what you know; it's who you know." In an effort to help students expand the "who you know" portion of that equation, Arcadia University's Career Development and Alumni Relations offices are hosting the 2nd Annual Professional Networking 101 on Friday, Nov. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. Networking expert and Arcadia alumna Gail Madison '72 will guide students through the "dos and don'ts" of professional networking and illustrate several effective networking strategies.

Come and network with fellow alumni while students receive instruction from Madison. Then help the students practice their networking skills and expand their professional networks during a speed-networking session.

To register for Professional Networking 101, visit www.arcadia.edu/alumnievents. If you are not a Volunteer Career Mentor or wish to update your professional or personal contact information, please complete and submit the Career Mentor Form.
