  • Apply for a federal PIN (Personal Identification Number), which serves as your e-signature on the FAFSA, at www.pin.ed.gov. The student, and one parent if the student is dependent, must each have a PIN.
  • Submit the 2012-13 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to Federal Student Aid Programs as soon as possible beginning January 1, 2012. The FAFSA can be filed electronically at www.fafsa.gov. If official tax information is unavailable, estimate as accurately as possible. Once federal tax returns have been filed with the IRS, return to www.fafsa.gov and select the IRS Data Retrieval Option. The Arcadia University Title IV code #003235 must be listed on the FAFSA.
  • Submit the Arcadia University Financial Application to the Financial Aid Office by March 1, 2012 (if a new student) or by April 1, 2012 (if a returning student).
  • Please Note: Students randomly selected for verification by Federal Student Aid Programs at the time their FAFSA is completed also will be required to submit a 2012-2013 Verification Worksheet. In the event the IRS Data Retrieval Option was not selected on the student's FAFSA, and he/she is selected for verification, a tax transcript must be requested directly from the IRS and submitted to the Financial Aid Office. Students selected for verification will receive a separate notification of this requirement.
By submitting this form I understand that all information submitted as part of my financial aid application is subject to verification and that I may be required to submit federal tax returns to substantiate the information on this form and on the FAFSA form. I also understand that I can be selected for verification by Federal Student Aid Programs at any point during the year and that my financial aid can be revised as a result of any discrepant information that is found on my FAFSA form. I certify that I am not in default on a Federal Student Loan nor do I owe a refund on a Federal or State Grant. I certify that I will use any financial aid funds received under Federal Title IV, HEA Programs only for expenses related to my study at Arcadia University. I agree to notify the Office of Enrollment Management (Financial Aid) of any changes in my housing status, enrollment status, or address as I understand any financial aid I have previously been awarded may change as a result. I authorize release of my financial aid information to the U.S. Department of Education, to AES/PHEAA, as well as to federal, state and University auditors.
