IMBA Alumni Celebrate Tassel Night in Singapore

Singapore Alumni Approximately 80 members of the Arcadia University MBA Alumni Association of Singapore hosted Tassel Night 2013 on Nov. 20 at the Singapore Cricket Club in Singapore. Dr. Steve O. Michael, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, and Mary McRae, vice president for University Advancement, traveled to Singapore for the event, meeting and speaking with members of the alumni association and Aventis. Career Education Announces Spring Career Fairs

Recruit Philly Alumni Only Career Fair - Thursday, January 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Hub (2929 Arch Street, Mezzanine Level, Philadelphia, PA) Meet over 50 of the top companies in the Philadelphia area that have hundreds of diverse job openings. Spring Internship and Career Fair - Tuesday, March 25 from 1 to 4 p.m. in Kuch Alumni Gymnasium at Arcadia University. Employers and job seekers are welcome to attend. Music Department Hosts Upcoming Events

Singapore Alumni In celebration of Scottish Poet Robert Burns, join us for a traditional Scottish dinner, music, and dancing! A Scottish Céilídh will be held on Friday, January 24. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event runs from 7 to 11 p.m. Kilts are optional, but dress to impress! Beer, wine, and whiskey are available for those over 21 and with valid I.D. at event. The string ensemble and choir will perform on Sunday, January 26 at 3 p.m. in Stiteler Auditorium. This concert is free and open to the public.

Swiss Ambassador to Present on Viability of United Nations, January 30

On Thursday, January 30, Paul R. Seger, ambassador of Switzerland, presents “The UN at 68: Close to Retirement or Still Able to Tackle Global Challenges?” Presented by the Office of International Affairs as part of their Global Dialogue Series, the talk is scheduled for 2 p.m. in the Castle Mirror Room.

Since 2010, Seger has served as the permanent representative of Switzerland to the United Nations (UN). Before presenting his credentials to Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in 2010, he served as head of the Directorate of International Law and legal adviser of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Berne; as ambassador of Switzerland to the Principality of Liechtenstein; as head of the Swiss Delegation to the Central Commission for Navigation on the Rhine (CCNR) (2003-2009); as president of the CNNR (2006-2007); and as a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration.
