Career Mentoring Program Celebrates Success

honors-mentoringThe first year of the Mentor Matching Program between alumni and Honors Program students is coming to a close. Both students and alumni mentors have found this program to be very rewarding. View video.

The program is now being offered to the general student population. Students are currently applying to be matched with alumni mentors. Those interested in being matched with a student for the remainder of his or her time here at Arcadia should contact the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@arcadia.edu or 215-572-2160.

Arcadia is Alive with Activity on April 21

haber-greenAlumni are encouraged to come back to campus on Sunday, April 21 for various events. Our men’s Soccer Alumni Day will begin at 12 p.m. Join or watch a friendly alumni vs. student men’s soccer game on Easton Field. Stay for lunch in the new Pavillion after the game. Cost is $20. Register here.

Knight Club is celebrating their 10th anniversary of dance and will be performing at noon prior to the student Knight Club performance. Former Knight Club members are invited to sign up to dance. Following the alumni performance, join family and friends at a 1:30 p.m. reception before heading back to the student Knight Club performance at 3:00 p.m. Click here to register for one or all three Knight Club events.

The Arcadia University Theatre performs The House of Bernarda Alba at 2:00 p.m. at the MainStage Theatre in Spruance Fine Arts Center. For ticket reservations, email arcadiatheatre@arcadia.edu, call 215-572-2112 or use the online ticket reservation system, TicketLeap.

The Wister Quartet performs chamber music. The annual Sunderman Concert is funded by a gift from the estate of William Sunderman and Martha Lee Taggart Sunderman ’55, who believed that music brings balance to life. Highlights from the Campus 'Bulletin'

Reunion Classes 3s and 8s: Look for Reunion Invitations in the Mail

The Office of Alumni Relations is looking forward to alumni returning to campus on Saturday, June 8 for Reunion 2013. Come in a day early and stay in Knight Hall to relive your college days. Register online now or wait for your printed invitation in the mail.

The Classes of 1963 and 1968 are planning a special trip to the Barnes Foundation on Friday, June 7. Please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at 215-572-2160 to reserve your spot on the trip. Cost is $35.

Classes of 1983 and 1988 are planning a morning golf outing on Friday, June 7 at the nearby Lulu Country Club. Tee times begin at 11:00 a.m. Cost for this event is $60. Please contact the Office at Alumni Relations at 215-572-2160 to reserve your tee time.

Non-golfers from these classes are encouraged to attend the Friday evening dinner to gather with those who will be participating in the golf outing. However, if you are not able to attend, Reunion activities continue throughout the weekend.

The Class of 1998 is planning a special cocktail reception at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8 and then plans to head to the Young Alumni Picnic. Children are welcome!

The Class of 2003 is hosting a community service event prior to the Young Alumni Picnic from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. All Alumni are welcome to participate by helping to pack breakfast bags for Aid for Friends. All necessary material/food will be provided. Stop by the Commons and pack some bags while enjoying the company of alumni from all classes.

The Class of 2008 celebrates its 5-Year Reunion. All classes from 2003-2013 are encouraged to register for the Young Alumni Picnic from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a DJ, moonbounce, games, facepainting and more. After the Young Alumni Picnic, the party moves inside to the Commons Game Room where the fun continues. Hang out, have a drink, shoot pool, play shuffleboard and watch the games on TV.

Côr Bro Ogwr Welsh Choir on Monday, May 6

The Welsh Society of Philadelphia and Arcadia University jointly sponsor a concert performance by Côr Bro Ogwr Welsh Choir from Bridgend South Wales as they travel on their North American Tour. Come to the concert and meet with the singers at Te Bach (Welsh Tea) after the 7:00 p.m. performance in the Commons Great Room.
