Share Your Successes with Fellow Alums
Arcadia University graduates have gone on to do amazing things, from opening businesses and writing books to exhibiting art work and enjoying successful careers. Alumni are encouraged to share their story to be highlighted in a future Chronicles by emailing alumni@arcadia.edu.
Emily Scott ’09 recently started her own business, noting that it involved “using all the wonderful knowledge I gained from my BA!” Compendium is a progressive independent designers’ boutique and collective that opened this past summer. The boutique is located in Swarthmore across from the train station. Visit the website at compendiumboutique.com.
Jenean Douglas ’82 has published her first book, From Darkness...To Light, a 31-day devotional for parents, available this month via Westbow Press, a division of Thomas Nelson Publishing Company. “The book is about my journey with my twins who were diagnosed with autism at the age of three and a half years," says Douglas. "It also includes the stories of seven other women who share how God gave them peace in the midst of their storm."
Ellen Coleman ’69 invites alumni to attend an upcoming day trip to New York City on Saturday, Dec. 15. Tickets are $60 per person and donations are requested for the Breezy Point Disaster Relief Fund. For more information, visit Excursions From the Square's website.
Linda McManus ’97 is having a Photography show on Dec. 6th. "Included in the show are some images that I created for my thesis under the incredible guidance of Judy Taylor," says McManus.
The show will be held at the Villa Capri in Doylestown, Pa. from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m.
