The New Season of Arts at Arcadia
Arcadia University Theater kicks off the new production season on Thursday, Oct. 11, with Meshuggah-Nuns. The play features a group of musical nuns presenting a cruise ship show after the on-board actors fall ill. The show promises to be a hit among audiences, especially as alumni return to campus for Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 13. Special presentations will be held at 2 and 8 p.m. Schedule and ticket info.
The Writers Series, which brings authors and poets to campus, begins its new season on Friday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. with a reading by alumna Laren McClung, co-editor of the anthology Inheriting the War. McClung's first collection of poetry, “Between Here and Monkey Mountain: Poems,” was published in April 2012 and will be available for purchase.
The Art Gallery presents the U.S. debut of Martha Wilson: Staging the Self, a touring exhibition organized by Independent Curators International (ICI) on view through Nov. 4. Visit exhibition website.
