‘Together We Are Making History with the Opening
of the Commons’

Arcadia University’s student class officers, Faculty and Staff council representatives, alumni leaders and Campaign co-chairs joined President Carl (Tobey) Oxholm III in cutting the ribbon at the Commons dedication on Monday, Jan. 23. Photos, video and more.

Young Alumni Explore Commons, Meet President

Young Alumni Explore the New CommonsAfter the ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony for the new Commons, students immediately began to make the building their own, enjoying all it has to offer—from fresh dining options at the Chat to air hockey in the game room. On the evening of Jan. 23, they were joined by recent graduates invited back to campus to see the new addition. More than 25 young alumni gathered to tour the Commons and to chat with President Carl (Tobey) Oxholm III and Dr. Jan Walbert, Vice President for Development. “I heard so many alumni say how beautiful the new space was, how cool the building is, and that they were really proud of how the University continues to grow,” says Michael Minetti, Assistant Director for Students and Young Alumni.
