2nd Annual Alumni Homecoming

Alumni Homecoming at Fall FestThe campus rolls out the red carpet to welcome you back for a day of Fall Fest activities. Come to Blankley Alumni House to register and enjoy a cup of coffee before taking a tour of the Art Gallery exhibit. Have lunch on the Castle Terrace and cheer on the Knights at soccer, field hockey and tennis matches. Top off the day with a finale of Fireworks, Casino Mania and a fantastic concert with performer Rick Kelley. Most of all, reconnect with your friends, feel a part of the larger Arcadia family, and celebrate all that is happening at Arcadia. Welcome Home! Alumni Trips Filling Fast

Trip PhotoIt’s not too late to join fellow alumni in 2008 for two exciting travel opportunities through Europe. The 8-day Winter Getaway to Rome offers alumni a wonderful holiday destination and flexible sightseeing options. Alumna Lincoln Honored

Alumna Sue LincolnSue Lincoln ’65, who earned her B.A. in History, was presented the Distinguished Service Award from the Chamber of Commerce, Madison, N.J., for her 22 years of service as an active volunteer in the Chamber and member of its Board of Directors. This Award is the most prestigious honor to be presented to a Chamber member. REad more

Alumni Sue Lincoln Honored (cont'd)

Lincoln has taught history and sociology at Governor Livingston High School in Berkeley Heights, supervised student-teachers for Rutgers University, taught arts and crafts at the Carl Kumpf School in Clark Township, taught travel and geography for the Adult School in Parsippany and served as a travel consultant for Nu World Travel, Travel Inc., and Travelong.

In 1985 Lincoln founded Classic Travel as owner and operator. In 2000 the business became the Classic Travel Group. Lincoln served as president when it merged with Scully Travel in 2004. As a volunteer, Lincoln served a two year term as president of the Beaver College Alumnae Association of Morris; a 12-year assistant at the information desk of Morristown Memorial Hospital; a four-term president of the Madison/Florham Park Women’s Club; a 31-year member of the Thursday Morning Club in Madison; a deacon of the Presbyterian Church of Madison; a member of the Madison Republican Committee, and a 12-year representative on the borough’s Downtown Development Commission from 1991-2006.

2007 Annual Fund a Success (cont'd)

The 2007 Arcadia Annual Fund Awards celebrating the Alumni Fund will be presented at the Fall Alumni Association Meeting on November 17. The Class of 1957 will be honored for winning the Annual Fund Award for the Class with the Largest Gift as well as the Martha-Lee Taggart Sunderman Award for the Class with the Highest Percentage of Participation.  The Class of 1969 wins the Class with the Largest Gift Increase and the Class of 2002 will be recognized with the Harry G. Kuch GOLD Award for the GOLD Class with the Highest Percentage of Participation. Congratulations and thank you to all who have made these successes possible.

2008 Career Workshops (cont'd)

In addition, we will look at the resources and options available when making a career change or to continue to advance along your current career path.  The first workshop is scheduled for the morning of October 6, 2007 during Alumni Homecoming at Fall Fest.  Come to campus and learn about the current trends in résumé writing and how to make your first impression a good, long lasting one! After the workshop, join fellow alumni for lunch on the Castle Terrace and stay and cheer on our athletic teams.
