Murphy Hall
Murphy Hall pre-dates the Castle as one of the original
estate buildings on campus. This building was used to store carriages,
horses and, with time, automobiles. It now houses Stiteler Auditorium,
Mitchell Art Studios, the Video Production Studio, the Digital Imaging
Studio, and Music, Communications and Theatre
Arts programs.
Art studios are available for work on graphic design, 3-D design, ceramics,
photography, metals and jewelry, printmaking, painting and scientific
illustration. The Digital Imaging Studio contains Macintosh computers
for computer graphic and interior design instruction. The Communications
area houses lighting, sound, taping and editing equipment, as well as
video production facilities and the student/faculty-operated cable television
station.
