Welcome! The Computer Science and Mathematics Department of Arcadia University offers programs in Computer Science, Computing Technology, Mathematics, and Actuarial Science. In addition, in cooperation with Columbia University, we offer a five year dual degree program in Engineering. We welcome students in all of these disciplines. Actuarial Science Major! We are pleased to announce that beginning September 2013 Arcadia University will offer a major in actuarial science. See the Acuarial Science pages for details.

New courses! During the last two years we've introduced several new courses. Dr Rick Arras regularly offers Programming and Story Telling, which is an introduction to programming using Alice- a graphical interface for programming; Dr Yanxia Jia teaches a course on Mobile Phone Programming, and Dr Carlos Ortiz (with Dr Cheryl Smith of the Biology Department) team teach a course on Bioinformatics.

Students present at undergraduate mathematics conference. Dr Ned Wolff led a team of students who presented at a recent conferences at Moravian and Dickinson Colleges.

Congratulations to our 2013 grads!. Our students have been very successful in their placements. Here's what some of the 2013 grads plan to do.

One student will begin a Ph.D. program in engineering at Columbia University; four have SAS programming positions with Theorem Clinical Research; one math major will work for Prudential Insurance Company in marketing; one computer science major has accepted a position with Lockhead Martin; a computing technology major will continue his work with CommSolutions; a double math computer science major will work as a programmer with World Wide Stereo.We're very proud of our graduates (and haven't listed their names only to protect their privacy.).
