Welcome! The Computer Science and Mathematics Department of Arcadia University offers programs in Computer Science, Computing Technology, Mathematics, and Actuarial Science. In addition, in cooperation with Columbia University, we offer a five year dual degree program in Engineering. We welcome students in all of these disciplines. After you look through our web pages, feel free to contact me with any questions about our programs. New! We are happy to announce that Dr Xizhong Zheng will join our department in Fall 08. Dr Zheng has Ph.D.'s in both mathematics and computer science. Actuarial Course Credits. We are pleased that the Society of Actuaries and the Casualty Actuarial Society have approved Arcadia University to offer VEE (Validation by Educational Experience ) credit for the three required courses: Applied Statistics, Economics, Coporate Finance. More information is available on the actuarial overview page. Our Department now offers two special courses in SAS programming. During the 08-09 year they will be taught by Brian Shilling.
