In order to provide student participation in the decision-making process of the University and channels for communication among the various sectors of the University community, students are recommended by their department chairs.
Graduate Academic Programs Committee Membership
Five elected faculty members, the Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies, and a minimum of one and not more than three students, selected to represent graduate students currently enrolled, and if possible, chosen from different components of Graduate and Professional Studies. The Vice President for Enrollment Management and the Registrar serve ex officio. The student members may vote on matters of policy. The Associate Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies serves as non-voting secretary. Meetings of the committee are open to others by invitation. The duties of GAPC are to review policies and academic regulations governing Graduate and Professional Studies, programs and components of programs.
