Everything & Nothing Shows ‘A Fractaled World’
The students’ first gallery exhibit of installations—A Gallery of Nothing—was subtitled “Everything and Nothing: Visualizing Mathematics, Philosophy and Culture and challenged both the students and those who viewed the exhibit to make nothing out of something. Visitors also added their comments to the log on that exhibit. One person commented, “You would teach a class about nothing. But I like it!” A faculty member from Mathematics and Computer Science noted, “Very varied and interesting, and it seems that you have quite an enthusiastic class.” While one viewer noted, “I like the use of found materials,” another noted, “Why can you see tape on almost every project?” View the work from the first class exhibit.
