Campus NewsHair Spraying and Braiding for Breast Cancer Awareness, Oct. 16 The goal is to raise $3,000 between October and April, with several events culminating in a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on campus. Additional fundraisers planned include a Mary Kay facial and Self Breast Exam Party and pink Breast Cancer Awareness wrist bands. The money raised throughout the year will be presented to the selected charity (to be determined) at a formal tea following Arcadia’s Breast Cancer Walk in April. Wainwright and Sarah Rudolph '10 are the facilitators and passionate campaigners for Breast Cancer Awareness fundraising, with the support of the For the Women. Club. “Grace and I envision the Arcadia Community successfully and lovingly reaching out for this important cause, says Rudolph. “It affects all of us in some way because we all have mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts and friends who are at risk. We have faith that the students, faculty and staff will support us and the campaign to reach our goal of $3,000 in the next few months! Interested in helping? Attend our weekly meetings in the Commuter Lounge, every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.” Have questions? Email them at arcadiabreastcancercampaign@gmail.com, gwainwright@arcadia.edu or srudolph@arcadia.edu.
