Late Knights: Ultimate Glow Sports, Sept. 19

Salsa Night on Saturday featured a performance by slam poet Mayda del Valle. “Mayda is an amazing poet/storyteller who has the ability to captivate her listeners with her pieces-- no matter how many times I’ve heard her perform,” says Ryan Bradwell of the Latino Association, which co-sponsored the event.
“Last year when we brought Mayda to campus, she blew us away with her performance. After learning of her accomplishments since performing at Arcadia (being featured in Oprah’s O magazine and performing for President Obama earlier this year), we couldn’t resist the opportunity to work with the Latino Association to bring her back,” says Dian Taylor-Alleyne, Assistant Dean of Students.
