AnnouncementsAnnouncements Faculty, Emeriti and Administrators—Register for Commencement!The Graduate Commencement is Thursday, May 14, at 5 p.m. The Undergraduate Commencement is Friday, May 15, at 10:15 a.m. All faculty, emeriti and administrators are asked to use the Commencement Response form at www.arcadia.edu/commencement-form.htm to let University Relations know whether they plan to attend one or both of the ceremonies. If you are unable to access the online form, please copy and paste the URL into a new browser window. This information is needed for seating arrangements. Volunteers Needed to Help with CommencementVolunteers are needed to help with the May Commencement ceremonies. The Graduate Commencement will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, while the Undergraduate Commencement will be held at 10:15 a.m. on Friday, May 15. Interested staff members and students should e-mail Donna Whitlock in University Relations at whitlock@arcadia.edu by May 5 to volunteer. All volunteers will receive a free Arcadia T-Shirt that they will wear on the day they volunteer. Enroll in Weight Watchers at Work by April 17The Office of Human Resources is trying to generate interest in a 10-week Weight Watchers at Work program. The meetings would be on Mondays at noon. The cost would be $130 for existing members ($135 for new members). The amount must be paid in full on the date of registration. This fee includes all program materials for the entire 10 weeks. If enough people enroll, the 10-week program could begin Monday, May 4. Contact Katie Kelly by Friday, April 17, to enroll. “Remember, if you have your medical plan through Keystone Health Plan East or Personal Choice, you are eligible for a reimbursement of up to $200 for enrollment in a weight loss program, such as Weight Watchers,” says Kelly. Summer Courses? Special Discounts OfferedSummer course registration—for undergraduate, graduate and online courses—is open now. For a complete listing of options, visit www.arcadia.edu/summer. Many summer education and online courses feature special pricing and discounts, including courses in Professional Writing, Instructional Technology, Autism, Teaching Italian, Education, and International Peace and Conflict Resolution. Many courses are discounted 20 percent and some up to 60 percent. Graduate options include several workshops and institutes that combine an on-campus weekend followed by online instruction. Open House April 15Students interested in graduate programs at Arcadia are invited to attend a Graduate Open House on April 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Grey Towers Castle. Register Online or call toll-free 1-877-ARCADIA (1-877-272-2342) to reserve a space. Programs featured are Education, Counseling Psychology, English, Humanities, M.B.A., Public Health and Health Education. At the Open House, faculty and staff will answer questions one-on-one, and students can meet with financial aid counselors. Read more about the Open House. Celebrate Administrative Professionals Day, April 22Recognize the outstanding work of the administrative professionals in your office with assorted tea cookies in a gift tin, vanilla or chocolate cake with butter cream icing, or assorted chocolate truffles in a gift tin.
