Bond, who earned a M.S.F.S. from Arcadia in 2007, received his undergraduate degree from LaSalle University in 2003, majoring in Environmental Science with a minor in Chemistry. He remarked, “I was working as an analyst for a forensic toxicology laboratory when I realized that in order to move forward in the field I would need higher education. I evaluated all the M.S. programs for forensic science in the country and found Arcadia’s program to be best suited for me. It had a hands-on, laboratory-based internship taught by instructors who were employed by forensic laboratories and a concentration in toxicology, the discipline in which I wanted to pursue a career.”

Bond is currently an analytical chemist for British Petroleum Research in Illinois. “It’s not a forensic science laboratory, but utilizes the versatility of Gas Chromatography, an analytical method also used by forensic scientists.”

Ferriola, who earned a M.S.F.S. in 2008, said, “I chose to come to Arcadia University to get my Master of Science in Forensic Science because Arcadia is accredited by FEPAC. Also, the faculty is made up of current practicing professionals in multiple fields of forensic science, which allowed for discussions of current issues and case studies that gave me a better understanding of the concepts I was learning.” She is currently working at Quest Diagnostics.
