Campus NewsNew Vice President for Center for Education Abroad Arcadia University, which is ranked second in the nation among master’s universities for its percentage of undergraduate students who study abroad, also offers study abroad opportunities to more than 3,000 college students a year from 300 colleges and universities across the nation. The Arcadia University Center for Education Abroad offers more than 100 programs around the world in 14 countries. Christensen succeeds Dr. David Larsen, who will retire this summer from full-time work after 20 years at the helm of one of the nation’s largest providers of study abroad opportunities. She is the Executive Director of Global Academic Management at New York University. She previously served as Chair of the Business Management Department and Chair of Study Abroad Programs at Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. Christensen also serves as an International Education Consultant with organizations in London, Madrid, Dublin, Bonn, Berlin and Munich. Christensen earned a Ph.D. in Leadership and Cultural Foundations from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, an M.B.A. from the University of Texas, and a B.S. in Business Administration from the College of Saint Mary.
