Representatives from the Eileen Stein Jacoby Fund and scientists from Fox Chase Cancer Center will attend. “Come and find out where 100 percent of your donations will go!” says Rooney. The Eileen Stein Jacoby Fund supports the laboratory of Molecular Biologist/Geneticist Andrew K. Godwin, Ph.D., in the Fox Chase Cancer Center medical science division.Godwin and his team of researchers study the hereditary and non-hereditary factors that influence one's risk of developing breast cancer and/or response to therapy. Thanks to support from The Jacoby Fund, Godwin has been able to recruit talented young scientists for his lab. “A donation in support of Knight Star means that you will be a part of the advancements that are making a difference in the lives of breast cancer patients in our community!” Rooney adds.
