at the Penn’s Landing Hyatt Regency in Philadelphia. Info and registration available at http://www.rbs.org/conference/2005/index.php. The focus of this conference is the current state of
student content knowledge and process skills in mathematics and science;
exploring evidence-based materials and practices that will help students reach
high standards; and building professional networks that increase leveraging of
resources. Teams of two get a discount on the registration fee!
The next live webchat with Cathy Seely is Tuesday,
January 18th. January’s topic is “Being the
best math teacher you can be in 2005.” What is the most valuable professional
learning you have experienced? What do you wish you could learn more about?
Have you been part of a learning community that worked together to become the
best math teachers you could be? Share your answers to these questions now at http://www.nctm.org/news/chat.htm,
and join the conversation on the 18th.
