M.B.A. Students Explore New International Sites (continued)

“We want our students to experience the cultures and business climates of both developed and developing economies,” says Dr. Tony Muscia, Executive Director of Arcadia’s M.B.A. with an International Perspective. “Arcadia is the leader in student international travel and our M.B.A. Program is capitalizing on our relationships with our Center for Education Abroad to deliver new opportunities for students.”

In November 2008, a team went on a site visit to China. The group included Muscia; Lorraine Brandenburger, Assistant to the Executive Director, M.B.A. Program; Dr. Erik Nelson, Dean of Distributed Learning and Arcadia Online; Joseph Cirelli, Senior Vice President of PEP Boys and a member of Arcadia Business Advisory Board; and Ed Welch '08M.B.A. and former President of Arcadia’s Business Alumni Association. They visited Beijing, Xian and Shanghai. While there, they established contacts with business leaders and organizations.

In June, the first group of M.B.A. students will head to China. “We hope to have them experience a blend of business and cultural life,” says Muscia. The group will participate in meetings, view presentations from local business leaders, enjoy cultural activities and meet with expatriates to find out what it is like to live and work within the country.
